HDMI into computer

I would like to be able to feed the HDMI signal from my cable box into my computer for display in Windows Media Center. What type of card, or other hardware/software would I have to buy to accomplish this? Thank you for any answers. HGM.

actually ... a video capture card. Standard video cards the HDMI is and output not and input. Here is a good example.

Blackmagic Design: Intensity

Hope this was helpful

HDMI Capture

The Black Magic Design Intensity capture card has been discontinued. They still have the Intensity Pro card. However this will NOT work for you. The HDMI output for your set top box is HDCP encoded. This will prevent you from capturing your video.

There is no reliable way to go all digital from your STB into your computer that I know of. You can go through the analog hole ( digital to analog to digital)

Good Luck
