Could any one tell me, if Office XP has to be registered on line in the same manner as Windows XP.

Thanks in advance BUMTY

I bought a copy for $5 from Purdue, $5 any MS software there if you are a student, I isntalled it after this last format and it wanted me to get that damn code. I hadn't seen this before with the products purdue has so I was surprised. Needless to say I junked that guy and put office 2k pro back on, another $5 investment

krohnjw, that confirms my earlier decision was correct then, but you said $5 - man thats cheap, compared to what you would have to pay in the UK.

You'll find M$ has special deals all round the world at present for students. You should check with your local M$ site to see what info you can find. I know they were selling almost anything even to parents of kindergarten childeren at so-called "academic" prices recently.

I think it is a way to inflitrate M$ software into even more homes. Think I'm a bit cynical??
