NETWORK SETUP

i have a Verzion wireless fiber obtic modem in one room and in the next room i have 2 computers and a printer.
when i set it up wireless i get a bad or weak signal.
so this is what i would like to do:
connect the 2 computers and printer to a wired switch and connect that wireless to the modem
will this work?????

Kind of confused of what your problem is. I'm assuming you have a wireless router and a dsl/cable modem and trying to connect the 2 computers and printer via wireless rather than wire connections. If this is correct, then you're suppose to connect the dsl/cable modem to the wireless modem to the correct port. You have to configure your wireless router to support wireless and configure the settings. In order to do that you would have to connect a computer using a cat5/6 to the router and log into the router to configure it or maybe the wireless is on by default and you use your comp that has a wireless card and connect to the network and log into the router and configure it. Not sure why your connection is weak if it is in the other room. Maybe something in the house is messing up the reception. I know 2.4ghz cordless phone uses same freq, so it screws up the wireless.
