I am trying to help a friend out that is on dial up. He bought a crossover cable to network his 2 computers together. We run the wizard and it always works but one computer wont connect thru his main computer that is connected on dial up.
The error states ip address conflict contact network admin. Has anyone run into this problem?
I took my laptop over there and tried it also and it comes up with the same error. The 2 he wants to network are his main computer with windows xp and his old windows 98 computer.
I can always install win xp on his 98 if i have to.
