usb 2, SATA, or firewire external hard drive?

Should I buy a usb 2.0, SATA or firewire external hard drive? My pc can take the three types.

If that external HD is a 1394b it will be the fastest with a transfer rate of 800 mbit/s. If it is the old IEEE 1394a then in theory, the USB will be faster.

Thanks for the info. My motherboard (Abit NF7-S) supports IEEE 1393a. Can it be upgraded for IEEE 1394b?

isup, sata I has a tranfer rate of 150 with sata II having 300m/b. I am sorry that I am not of more helf.

Trying to purchase this external drive:

Site opens faster with internet explorer than with firefox.

It has usb 2.0, sata, firewire, and temp control. Don't know the price yet. Company is in China and they replied to my email. Hoping that I will obtain the drive. Look at the list of all their drives.
