Help rundll error

Hi,

I was registered on here before but forgot my username/password so had to sign up again.

Basically i formatted my pc using the recovery cd that came with it (xp media edition) but when i downloaded the graphics & soundcard driver and restart the pc, i get the following message:

error in C:\windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\w32x86\3\LXCYtim e.dll
missing rundll entry


Any ideas?

Is this at the windows desktop, or a black screen on boot with that message in white letters where it hangs up?

If the recovery disks givers you an option to boot to the recovery console, try chkdsk /r to start. Unplug any USB devices you have plugged in as well and see if the error goes awy.

Without more information, it's hard to say. I suspect a printer issue since it's calling the spooler, but you might search google for the name of that dll, it may tell you exactly what hardware is associated with it.
