PC freezes and then shuts off after playing video games

The problem started few weeks ago where i would be playing video games and in the middle of the game usually 5-10 minutes the computer would freeze and shut off or i would have to restart it. I'm thinking that my CPU is gettin overheated and then the computer just turns off but here are my specs below and let me know if there is anything that i can do to fix this problem or give me some insight to what you think it could be wrong.

Inter P4 3.2GHz HTT
1 GB Ram
1 cdrom
2 hard drives
Geforce FX 5700 256MB
3 fans in the box, 1 on the side window and 2 in the back of the tower.

the temperatures of the case and cpu:

Idle: Case = 37C - 39C CPU = 42C - 47C

during gameplay: Case = 44C CPU = 65C

Power Supply is RaidMax and its 420W

if i kept playing the game i'm sure once it reached the limit it would have shut off on me.

Thanks for any input and help....

Those are some cool temps buf congrats. but did you fix the problem or not. there is no kinda with system stability.

If the problem persists i will be the powersupply. To check this get sisoft sandra and run the processor burn-in when runnnig this will put your pc on load and also monitor temps and also voltages across the different rails of your power supply. If the voltages fluctuate alot then the computer will lock up.

So make sure that your voltages are consistent and if so then its not the power sup. but i bet it IS the power supply if the cpu heat wasnt the issue
