Comcast New Service Problems

A just swapped service from AT & T DSL to cable internet. I am so frustrated. I had 3 computers hooked up with AT & T and had no problems. I have been calling Comcast for 4 days now and since I switched my phone service also, I can only get to a point with a tech until they have to reset my modem to fix my problems because when they reset the modem, my phone line drops off also. Here are my problems and I would appreciate help before my blood pressure kills me!

I can hook up one computer to the new comcast modem and it works. It can be one of the two computers I have tried, and after several hours on the phone and several phone hang ups, both will eventually work. If I add the router, I can still only get one computer to work. I keep getting the message "page cannot be displayed."

I am now stuck with the 2nd computer working, THROUGH the router (so it can't be the router, right?) but I can't get the first one going again with it.

Any suggestions before I spend another wasted evening on the phone just to get disconnected again?

Generally, this is not Comcast's problem, so talking with them will only cause you more pain. The issue lies somewhere after the ethernet jack on your modem.

What kind of router do you have, and how is it setup? Do you have LAN connectivity?
