Problem with Reinstall Win XP on ASUS z70va
I bought an ASUS z70va (Pent M 2.0 GHz) about 8 months ago and self-installed a cheap version of Win XP Pro. It ran fine for about 6 months, when we started getting warning messages that the Windows software was not genuine and was probably counterfeit, and the system started having problems and stopped connecting wirelessly. So I did a clean install of a new genuine MS OEM version on XP Pro (Version 2002 without SP2). The installation went fine, but as soon as I tried to load the drivers from the N1250 CD that came with the z70va I started getting frequent warning messages saying there were critical system and registry errors, and I was unable to dowload and install SP2 from the MS web site. The system is running but is unstable and I get constant warning messages. What do I do next? One other thing that may or may not be important - the system connected wirelessly to the internet up until recently, but the little blue indicator light for the wireless connection never worked. Please help.
