ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe problems

Hi, first of all these are my specs:

ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (at 2GHz with no overclocking)
1GB DDR400 in Dual-Channel (Dual-Channel ready kit from Kingston)
2x ASUS GeForce 6600GT 128DDR3 PCI-Ex in SLI
1 DVD-Writer
2 Seagate HDDs (160GB and 60GB)
Eurotech 460W Silent PSU

Now, I cant be sure if my problems started right after I mounted my 2nd graphic card but it might have been. Now, whenever I'm playing a game, after some 10~15min of gameplay the computer simply seems to restart and stays with the screen black, being needed to press the power on button to really turn off and press it again to turn on.

Now.. the computer stays the whole day on and wont go restarting, only with some time of gameplay which makes me think the problem is on the SLI system.

For that I tried already the following:
- Downgraded my BIOS from the latest 1016 to 1006.
- Downgraded my graphic card drivers to older ones (from 84.21 to 71.89).
- Uninstalled graphic card drivers, switched EZ Plug to Single Videocard, uninstalled 2nd graphic card, entered windows, installed driver and then enabled EZ Plug to Dual Videocard and intalled 2nd videocard letting then windows recognize it.
- Tried different SLI configuration in BIOS.
- Disabled the SLI mode in the nvidia's display settings.

None of the above worked..

Now, some time ago my CHIPSET fan started to do some weird noises, I read that it is quite normal in this mobo for this to happen sooner or later.. so, I guess it aint the problem since the fan still gives its 6000~8000RPM

I also had tried some official recent beta drivers for the videocard but uninstalled them and installed 71.89, think it might have caused this?

I'm really kinda clueless now, and the only thing that comes to my mind is simply format pc and see if it works.. hoping its a driver thingie.

Btw.. I also have the PSU in mind.. think 460W is enough to hold my system? Does the PSU need to be specificaly SLI specified?

I also read that the ASUS SLI connector that comes with the mobo doesnt works properly and causes visual glitches in the system but I never saw that happening so I suppose that aint the cause for my restarts.

Thanks in advance to all!

Wasn't sure if I'd even bother reading your post since it was a Deluxe problem
And I'm not familiar with dual graphic cards. Anyway, my initial thought after reading your post was the PSU.
Even tho the parts in your PC adds up to "only" 350-400 watt, that doesn't mean your Eurotech 460W is able to deliver.

I found this at http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/ where Dean Edward post this reply to another guy having a Deluxe problem:
"Dude, if there is one thing you can NOT afford to skimp on with this system , its a top-notch PSU. Enermax,Antec, PC Power and Cooling, and Silverstone all make 600W-1000W SLI recommended PSU's.(there are many others as well) With 2X 7800s SLI, i would buy the most highly rated PSU you can afford.....why get a killer box running and not make sure that the heart of the box is the best?"

I don't even want to think what a 1000W PSU runs for, but I'm eager to know how you solved your problem. Good luck and keep us posted....
