ATI Radeon X850 XT and Alienware

I've been struggling now for over 3 months to resolve problems with my ATI Radeon X850 XT video card. It started with the digital connection periodically dropping out. When it did I was still able to use the analog connection. I would retry the digital connection and after a day or so the digital connection magically started working again. The digital connection outages started to increase in frequency and length. Eventually the card started getting really loud and as the video demands on the system increase and decrease, the sound increases and decreases. It's vibrating the whole upstairs at this point.

I've been through the ringer with Alienware. Trying new settings, downloading new drivers (that were already up to date), pulling the card, cleaning the card, reseating the card again and again and finally 3 months later I'm now waiting over 2 weeks and counting for them to send a new card...they say it should be here soon but nothing they've said has been true yet so I'm not holding my breath.

Has anyone had any experiences like this with the Radeon X850 XT 256 that they were able to resolve? Any thoughts on what is going on?
