Problem w/ slot A mobo-cpu

I need help in checking out a slot A cpu that i have. Just bought a Gateway tower that has a slot A mobo and 950 cpu. Had gotten from ebay and the person said i was working when shipped. After swapping my gateway psu to the mobo i get no response. No posting or beep codes. If there is someone that will test this cpu for me send me an email or pm. I will pay for the shipp to and shipp back costs.

Do you know if the mobo supports the socket A chip.Some mobos only support say up to 1.6GHz CPU's.There for a 2GHz chip would not work.
