Is this going to be a good gaming system

I am haveing this system built and did some reaserch to configure the best I could with my budget of $2000.00.How do you think this will work out for gaming,i want it to last for at least a few years with most games.

Case, Next lexa gaming tower

CPU, amd athlon -64 x2 4400+ 2.2 GHz cpu with liquid cooling kit
(may OC by 200 MHz )

MOBO, Asus A8N32-SLI deluxe nForce4 SLI x16 chipset

HD, x2 WD Raptor WD740GD 74.OGB 8M Cache hard Drive
raid (0)

VC, 2x PCI Express 16x nvidia Geforce 7800 GT 256 MB

Memory,1024 MB 512MBx2 DDR-400 pc3200 memory Corsair

Sound, Creative Lab Inspire p7800 7.1

Question should I add another 1024 MB of memory to this system?

Yes that will be a great gaming system, though personally I would drop the Raptors for two higher capacity drives. The real life performance difference is minimal, but if you like your load times to be fast (that's about all they'll do) then they might be the right choice for you.

And Yes get 2GB of RAM, this is arguably the best 2GB kit on the market .

And just as an alternative to show you in case you weren't aware.
This quite air cooled heatsink does better than many watercooling setups. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118223
I'm just linking that for an idea of something with a bit less maintainance.

Also, what PSU are you looking at. Don't skimp!! Expensive doesn't always mean good, and good doesn't always have to be expensive.

Thanks for the reply bomblemonk the psu is going to be Nzxt PF-500 500 watt power supply.
The 2GB of Ram dose look like a great deal but dont I need 939-pin.
I wish I could have gotten the 2x PCI Express 16x nvidia Geforce 7800 GTX 256 MB instead of the GT but that is over my budget.I wonder what performance I can get out of the GT with OC.
Im only using this system for gaming thats why I went with the raptors.

It looks to me like you're paying too much.
