PS/2 controller

Hello all
I have been fighting with my new Dimension 9100 dual-core PC.
It's a sweet rig except I need PS/2 inputs to use a favorite old mouse.
I have tried a couple USB adapters and the last one works for my old
PS/2 Ergonomic Keyboard and Logitech M-CW47 Mouse.
The Issue left is getting the Mouse to appear in the setup picture as the correct model.
I need the thumb button for JUMP while playing games.
I have tried several USB mice that all work fine, but i can't get the same Tactile
surface resistance and that sends my whole first person shooter game to the can.
Dose someone make a real PS2 add/on card I might get to interface properly
with this legacy gear.
I have checked Logitech FAQ and drivers but Its still displaying as a simple 2 button wheel mouse.
Any other constructive comments about this?

Thanks a bunch for reading any response would be appreciated.

sev
