How Copy files to other harddrive?

How do I copy files from one harddrive to the next on my computer? My OS is Win2k Pro.

The easiest way would probably be to hook them up to a router, hub, or switch. Getting a crossover cable to directly connect them would work as well.

Are these both in the same machine or are you asking how to get them in the same machine?

Yes, they are on the same machine. I want to copy data on drive C to the other harddrive. Could I transfer everything on drive C to the other harddrive so that I can also boot and work from the second harddrive?

You need a program like Norton's Ghost. There are free programs, but I do not know their names. The term you are looking for is Hard Drive Imaging software.

Yes but you'll need a boot manager program to boot from either drive.

Acronis TrueImage 8.0 seems to be the best rated imaging software. Acronis Disk Director 9.0 and Norton PartitionMagic 8.0 boot managers get best reviews. Although Disk Director 9.0 seems to be better liked I want to go with Norton's PartitionMagic 8.0. My experience with N internet security 2005 shows that N's software does the hard work for you and has good interface. Although my system slowed up after installing NIS 2005 increasing memory from 256mb to 512mb rendered it faster than before installing NIS 2005. Would like suggestions.

Don't be silly with this imaging and boot loader business. Just install a clean copy of Windows to the other drive.
