IE help please...

Here's what i've got.

Friends computer will access the internet (broadband) via either Outlook Express or a command prompt ping, but it will not work with IE.

I've tried installing Firefox and it won't work either.

So they can check email, but none of their browsers will work.

They run XP and it's a 3 gig system with 512 ram.

Sounds like something messed the winsock up, removed pests or what not.
