which Recordable DVD drive?

Need suggestions for choosing whether to buy Plextor, Sony or Lite-on rewriteable DVD drive. Would like double layer capability.

Just so you know, Sony and Asus are just re-badged Liteons...
NU and NEC both re-badge Benq drives which are also excellent drives
In my opinion, Benq and Liteon drives are by far the best drives currently made..
In my experience, Benq are a little more quiet drives and just as reliable and well made as Liteon...

The people above are right. You pretty much have to search if you want to buy a "bad" drive to buy.

I second the NEC. But they have a newer one now, the ND-3540A. It has faster RW speeds on DVD+-

Thanks for suggestions. Bought Plextor PX-716SA DVD+\-RW Dual LayerSerial ATA Drive.
