air-conditioner cooling

hello everyone,
summer is on and outdoor temps have exceeded 30C, I decided to put my comp in front of the air conditioner [both side panels off]. my question - are a/c's electromagnetically safe? if the comp is 1 foot [30cm] from the unit, should I be worried about emi damage?

thanks,
tdbs

You should not be overly worried about EMI or RFI, as computers are rather resilient against such problems these days, but you should be very concerned about condensation if the air is high in humidity. The cooled air from the AC can condense moisture when introduced to the warm components inside a computer.
