I recently bought a Socket 370 100MHz FSB Pentium III 1.1GHz CPU for my Gateway E-3200 desktop computer, to replace the old 700MHz P3 chip. I have a cooling fan+heat sink that's supposed to work well for Socket 462 AMD Athlon processors up to XP 3400+, but whether it also works for Pentium processors isn't mentioned:

This thing fits my Pentium III CPU alright, and I wonder whether it would be safe to use it? For your info, my 1.1GHz P3 CPU code is SL5QW and the Intel web site says it has a "thermal guideline" of 33.0 W and a "thermal spec" of 77 degrees Celsius. If AMD Athlon processors generate higher wattages than my Intel P3, then should this fan+HS be fine for me?
In addition, are all brands of thermal grease more or less the same? This is the one I bought:
