amd motherboard

i have installed a new motherboard k7sem v3.0 with old cpu it went all right i installed window 2000 and it was running fine but today it does not boot when i turn it on it just keep on going , nothing comes on screen and does not let me go in to bios or in safe mode. is my cpu is dead, any suggestion befor i thrugh it away

any beeps ? you don't see any bios screen ? does the monitor act like it wants to come on ?

what are the rest of the specs of your system...

I've had similar symptoms with a bad PSU, all my fans and lights would turn on, but the computer itself would not boot or show anything on the monitor.

But It could be one of many things not limited to the CPU. Stuff like a motherboard going bad, video card going bad, RAM going bad, etc.

Can you provide more details, does it sound like it is continuing to boot up? Boot it with the speakers on and see if it makes the noises Windows makes when it starts up. Try to determine if it is hanging prior to booting up or if just the video is missing.

thanks everybody for helping me , cpu and motherboard are dead, going to buy new one
