Talk PCMODGODS (USE SAFE MODE)

The thing is if everyone saved a restore point there would not be a problem, if you create one every once in a while you just use safe mode to restore your computer to an earlier point and that could get you to where nortons was at one point.

re-installin NAV2005

Hi...

In actual fact youre trying to install NAV2005 over an existing one. When you dont see an NAV05 icon on desktop or in starmenu, doesnt mean that its not there. If you squint a little during NAV05 intalltion process you can see some like 'registering libraries'. Well..my guess is the leftovers of previous installtn copy is still in your system. Its acustom for NAV05 to request you to uninstall the previous version if its still there. I suggest you try to start in safe mode and remove all NAV and symantec keys and registry entries in the registry editor to make sure there are no more leftovers. Then reboot into normal mode to start fresh installation.

Any fixes to this always welcome..

Good luck
