I ran Norton and found 2 back door viruses. I click Quarantine then I click delete but it says my computor is still infected.
I ran the scan a secound time to confirm that the virus was still there. It sure was there

Try using this 1, it's a free online scan that may get rid of them.

Try this http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

McAfee AVERT Stinger

Stinger is a stand-alone utility used to detect and remove specific viruses. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection, but rather a tool to assist administrators and users when dealing with an infected system. Stinger utilizes next generation scan engine technology, including process scanning, digitally signed DAT files, and scan performance optimizations.

This version of Stinger includes detection for all known variants, as of February 21, 2005:

virus clean

Also if you are using XP remember to go in and turn off the system restore option, then boot to safe mode and clean. Teh virus writers have figured out how to make them jump back from the system restore files.

I tryied that with norton, I clicked quarintine then delete. But Norton said my computer was still infected. So I ran the scan again and sure enough the virus was still there. Back Door trojan, this is a tough virus to kill.

Trojan

An Antivirus program will generally not work on a Trojan. There are two or three good anti-trojan programs out there you can download a trial version of and get rid of the problem.

First is The Cleaner available from CNet Downloads
http://www.moosoft.com/products/cleaner/download/

I have used this one in the past and it works well.

Some like to dump Spyware into the Trojan family but a true Trojan horse can be extreamly difficult to remove and much more dangerous than simple spyware. Norton and many other antivirus files can only tell you there is a probelm but it takes a dedicated Anti-Trojan product to remove.

The Cleaner has bailed many a friend out of their problem and many have ended up buying it. I wil lleave that one up to the readers. I have no association with these folks but I like to recommend stuff that works to those in need.

Let me know if it works for you.
