Win ME Virus

Hi all,

I recently had the About Blank homepage virus, i ran adaware, hijack this, spybot S&D, And norton virus.

It seemed to go after all those, but it still keeps coming back, i ran the security updates from windows with still no joy, anyone have any ideas how to get rid??

you have to register and they will give you, a password via email update and run it catches alot of viruses, Mostly Malware.

Hi,

First make sure youre disconected from the network, start in safe mode, copy & run cw shredder or hijcakthis from a dir in your c, before fixing any checked running programs, save a log to do a backup later, delete all in temporary internet files, delete all last visited in history dir, delete any unfamiliar file/directory in the temp dir, delete similar in c:\windows\programfiles\commonfiles\, run regedit and delete unfamiliar keys in the HKey\LocalMachine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run\, look for urlsearch/urlstartpage or internetexplorer\main in the registry editor and modify the key 'about:blank' to whatever url you wish, reset your url start page in internet explorer settings...any supplement advice are welcome.
