Try using the Native (MAX) resolution that the monitor will handle.

How do i do this??

What i was meant to say in my previous post was that the only pic i get is in the top left screen, the rest stays grey, it has no power, it gets powered by my graphics card

The 'native resolution' specification points out one of the big differences between LCD and CRT displays. If you run an LCD at any resolution other than its native resolution, the display will become fuzzy or blurry, especially with text. The reason this happens on LCDs is that they are made up of tiny cells in a matrix (called the native resolution). For instance, if the native resolution is listed as 1280x1024, then there are 1280 cells across and 1024 cells down the screen. If you only display at 1024x768, then a large number of the pixels are being 'stretched' over multiple cells, which is what causes the image quality to degrade (think Jumbotron at the ballpark).

As already suggested, bump up your screen resolution. The native resolution on a 18" TFT should be 1280x1024, that what it is on my 17"

Right click somewhere on your desktop and select properties. Click the setting tab and set your resolution higher there.

Tried adjusting to 1280x1024, but it only goes up to 1024x768

Post the name and model number and maybe we can help you track the specs down.

Sounds like maybe the computer is not picking it up right.
