Sometimes a BIOS update solves that problem.

computer wont turn off
I just reformatted my computer it is working fine no errors but when I click turn off it logs off normally and says WINDOWS IS SHUTING DOWN and it stays like that forever
I am running XP pro

but I didnt have this problem before and I didnt installed any new hardware I just reformatted my HDD and now it wont turn off

I just redormatted again because I dont like to mess with bios
