Can't read dvd

I have 2 dvd-rw , 1 dvd-r and 2 cd-r disks that suddenly became un readable. No matter where I put them c drive or e drive The computor says no disk . The only thing I can remember I may have used the disks on norton gosht and the back up job went bad.

Can a disks become un reconized? They are all new disks, Don't understand how disks can be destroyed so easy. I had tryed clicking properties I get no where.

you'll definitely want to check is any disks at all are readable. if these are the only disks that cannot be read then yes, something may have happened to them that cause them to be unreadable.

also, since all of these disks are writeable media, you may want to update your drive's firmware, since firmware updates usually deal mostly with recordable media compatability. it's an easy enough process usually, just find the download from the drive manufacturer's website.
