Misc replacing a power supply

Will replacing a 250 watt power supply with a 400 watt cause any damage to my computer?

HI, if your going to add more cards or DVD,CD Rom's to your Computer then you will need more power. at least a 300+ watt. but like the man said if it's a DELL then most likely you will have to find one that will fit..
