The only way I can get my computer to boot after a total power loss is to pull the cmos battery. It will noteven go into a self test. Once I reset the battery it works pretty well. I have tried jsut reseting with the jumpers, but that won't work. It is a brand new motherboard and I have had problems from day one. Just try getting MSI to provide any support.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

have you checked for BIOS updates on the MSI site?

All my drivers and the Bios for the motherboard and video card are current. Still no word from MSI either. That will be my last msi board.

have you changed many BIOS settings yourself? there may be one setting that unintentionally causes this problem, which shouldn't cause it, and has yet to be addressed in any of the recent BIOS updates. setting the "optimised settings" in the main BIOS menu would probably fix this if in fact that is the problem.

if not, then yeah, the board probably has something wrong with it.

It is a K8N neo2 Platinum board. MSI called me late this afternoon. After trouble shooting we decided the board is bad and newegg is going to send me a new one. All though I don't know if i will be getting another MSI.

I have that exact same motherboard, and although it's had its quirks, I absolutely love it. I'm no MSI slavering fanboy, but by and large they make a quality product. In all likelihood you just got a bad board, and that's happened to virtually all of us.
