slimcan is on a distinguished road

My home page is Yahoo.com but I tryed to change it but it did not work. I was in msn.com and clicked use current then I clicked apply. Only to find yahoo agian when I clicked on home. Did it many differnt ways but yahoo has done something tricky.

Did you try clicking "OK" after clicking "Apply"? (I tried it on my computer just now, and it worked fine. In fact, I just clicked "OK" without even bothering to click "Apply" first.)

Yes clicked apply then ok. I even tried using blank but no good. I did many times before and did it fine on my dads computer.

are you using any kind of spyware blocking software that is set to dissallow changing of the home page through internet explorer? or maybe you have the yahoo toolbar or yahoo instant messenger set to maintain yahoo as your home page?

I think that may be it , i remember seeing somthing like that in Lava soft. I just need to find a way to turn it off. I think you hit the nail on the head. It makes a lot of sence.

This was a fast fix guys. I turned off lava soft from the task bar and changed the home page. Thanks for helping me think it through.

I use lava-soft pro to block ads.
