getting internet to a pc tablet

hi, I am going to receive from a friend an old Fujitsu Stylistic 1200 tablet with win 95 and before I see it I want to know how to conect it to the internet, my question is how can I do that?, how do I put an external modem to it (I guess I can not put an internal modem).
I have a cable internet conection.
The ports in the back are ; Parallel Port, Serial Port and I also have a port replicator that has a USB port.
By the way this tablet has not cdrom or floopy drive.
Can i plug it to my win xp pc and tranfer files to it?. because I will need to install the software from my internet provider.

well, does this thing have an ethernet adapter? without a floppy or cd rom you're going to have issues using most modern hardware on windows 95 because of it's poor support for usb devices. you may get lucky with an external 56k modem, and it may have drivers for it.

if you have an ethernet adapter that is working you have everything you need to get all the files from another machine, that would be your best bet. if not then you may consider using the computer-to-computer connection through the parallel port. that can get you started with getting a network adapter installed in the pcmcia slot..
