Systems Drives Problem

Well I installed a Nero Cd Burner on my computer a few months ago it was working fine. Until a few months ago i tried to Burn a Cd and I got a Error Message saying "Please insert a Disk in Drive D: (Empty) The Disk was in the drive. I keep trying and trying keep getting the same messages. So i poped in one of my school text book CD and it read the Disk. Then after that i tried the Floppy Drive the Floppy Drive gave me the same Error Message "Please insert a Disk into Drive A:.
I was like that strange, What do you think the problem might be. because drive D: reads but it doesn't burns, And drive Aoesn't read. Help?? somebody

This might be a dumb suggestion, but are you certain that the CD you put in your drive is a CD-R or CD-RW? If you have Nero set up for a DVD, that would also cause it to not recognize the media you had in the drive.

Hope this helps! ...KenT
