Rebooting PROBLEMS! help!!

Ok i just put in a new amd 3400+ 64 bit processor and an MSI K8T neo motherboard. I also did a full reformat after the instaliation was complete. Now heres my problem, whenever i start to play a game like battlefield vietnam or counterstrike and counterstrike source, after about 3 or 4 minutes of play my system reboots. I checked my bios for my cpu temp and it was in the norm. Heres the thing, i have a gig of PNY 2700 ram, which i know is wimpy for this processor. My local computer store and MSI tech support said try some 3200 speed. So i placed an order for 1 gig 512x2 of OCZ performance series 3200. Can you all think of any other bug that might be causing my system to reboot ????????? Everything in my system is origional except for my new cpu and mobo which replaecd my old amd 2600 barton and msi kt4 ultra.

System Specs as of now
AMD 3400+ 64 bit
MSI k8t neo mobo
Maxtor 40 gigmaster, WD 120 gig slave
PNY 2700 ram, 1 gig
sound blaster live 5.1 sound card
onboard ethernet
420 watt p/s

Did you connect to the net?,if you did you upgrade windows? The reason i say this because there is worm that targets xp/2000 systems and it reboots the system like you described. So first thing is unplug your comp from the net and run antivirus. Also see if you can get a bud to download the updates on a cd for you and update your os after you remove the bug.

Other then that , your comp should not be rebooting after 3 mins.hope this helps

well i did download the updates, but i failed to mention that it was rebooting even before i reformated. I figured the wipe and reload of windows would fix the problem..... not. any other suggestions?
