Windows error & restart

I have a Windows error & restart problem..here is what I have tried:

2 different video cards: MX440 & 5900xt
ran Memtest86 memory test...no problem
CPU temp is OK
Changed power supply from 350 to 480 watt


current system is:
Windows XP SP2
Gigabyte GA-7VRXP Motherboard
MSI nVIDIA GeForce FX 5900XT Video Card, 128MB DDR
DDR 512MB 64X64 PC2700 2.5 samsung memory
CPU AMD 1900+/266 ATHLON
Samgsung CD-RW
NEC 2500 DVD Burner
2 = Western Digital 80 Gig 7200 rpm w/8Mb buffer hard drives
thermaltake 480watt power supply


system will usually run stable unless I try to play any game be it UT2004 or shockwave pool

I suspect the motherboard & will have a new one on monday (i hope) does that sound like the problem ???

I am having the EXACT same problem as you and I also have a GigaByte motherboard. Mine is the GA-7VAX though instead of your version but I imagine they would be quite similar. So it's most likely your motherboard and please post back if that is the case so I can go about fixing mine as well.
