netmeeting on internal networks?

I have Netmeeting on XP Pro and I an on an internal
network (business) in the Philippines and I am trying
to use netmeting with my boss whose on a seperate internal network in Dallas.

As you probably can guess, it does not work.

Is there a work around for this problem so that we can
use Netmeeting while protected by our internal
networks, that is without changing are rights or
giving us a direct connection to the internet, that
obviously would open up our networks to hackers.

If not, is there another similar competition's product
that would allow us to do this...
