can't access yahoo chat

Tried to access yahoo chat and got the following error:

Unable to load applet.
You may need to download an updated version of the Microsoft VM from:
http://www.microsoft.com/java

Went to site but not sure what to download. Thanks for any help.

You just need to download this file

Virtual machine is the program and you need to install it in order for you to use yahoo chat but Microsoft is no longer giving that file so If you want it I have it because I downloaded a long time ago when it was available but it is 5MB and it is a .exe(executable)file which i cannot upload to you.

you could also downlaod the free java runtime environment from Sun Systems, or JRE. either JRE or MSVM should work fine.
