Help: No sound in right speaker

Ok I'll try my luck in this forum. No one knows why my right speaker won't work. I've looked into the sound properties and everything looks fine there and I also, looked at the connections to the motherboard and it looks fine there too. I tried a different pair of speakers and same thing, right speaker don't work. Any clues? I've tried drivers, reinstalling software, and almost everything I can think of.

I would say unless there is a balance setting in your sound properties most likely the non working chanel has a bad output. If it is on-board sound then you could disable it in bios and add a new sound card. If it has an actual sound card then I'd try replacing it.

Has the sound ever worked right? I guess that is the obvious first question.

Have you tried wiggling the connecter around while playing a cd, ETC. The mini plug ends can be a bit fussy at times, I have a few that will not work right if plugged in all the way and work fine if pulled out a little bit. Same set on a differant computer will not work at all, that computers sound is fine with the stereo its hooked to though.

At this point from other replies from different forums it comes down to the motherboard. I've checked, re-checked, and re-re-checked every connection known to man and it's not that.
(And this reply is DEJAVU big time, wow!)
