Hekp! My computer won't start..

Need help here..I've got a puzzling problem here...

1) My computer won't start right after I turn on the wall socket switch and the cpu power on switch. The leds light up and I can hear the fan running but that's it...nothing comes on the screen. Sometimes I even get this long beeps.

2) Well if I switch on the wall socket switch and wait HALF AN HOUR before turning on the cpu power switch..then it will work. But now it seems to be getting worse..and getting quite irritating.

Pls help! Is there something wrong with my power supply? Or could it be the RAM or mobo? Oh fyi..my computer is 2yrs old..intel P4 2GHz with 256mb RAM =)

*puzzled*

Why not just leave the wall socket on constantly?

Did this all of a sudden started happening out of the blue? Or did you make any changes to your computer prior to this?
