any alternative ways to flash the BIOS?

I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop with a relatively old BIOS and would like to update the BIOS. However, it doesn't have a floppy drive. Are there other ways to do this? Thanks in advance.

Your options come from Dell. If they provide the appropriate software, there are ways other than a floppy to boot computers (like USB and CDs).

Food

You should have a recovery CD that came with your laptop. you should be able to boot from that and do a flash.
