I just purchased the following new Mother Board on ebay: Intel D865GLC with Celeron 2.4 CPU(it is a Gateway surplus),I added kingston KVR400X64C3A/256 RAM(Intel Certified the memory for this MOBO),installed the memory on A-0,I used a brand new power supply(P4 certified)with 12v core voltage connector.as a bare bone: It powers up the CPU Fan works for 15 secons then one beep,then CPU Fan stops,screen is black.
With no 12 volt core voltage connedted,the MOBO powers up,and keeps working with no problem.
I tested the Ram & the power supply on another system they work.i removed the CPU I aired the Socket ,reinstalled the CPU,still no boot up!!! Is this (new) CPU faulty?
