Can you help?

I am so darn mad!!!!

I have Comcast Cable Internet and I got a disk in the mail to try AOL Optimized 9.0. Well, I put the disk in and I also downloaded the AOL Spyware Protection. Well, the AOL is so slow to use that I want to remove it but when I go to the ADD/REMOVE programs and highlight the AOL Spyware Protection and click Remove, it says,"COULD NOT OPEN INSTALL.LOG FILE." What does that mean and how do I get rid of this whole darn AOL?

Please someone, help!!!!!! I am not that computer literate so if you can tell me detailed explanation on how to remove it, it would be most appreciated.

Thank you but it brings me to a page with a link to click on. When I click on it, it says that this page cannot be displayed.

Shoot!

Thanks again.

I went there and at the bottom, there it was the aolgone.exe file. I clicked on it and it only rids 5.0. I went thru it and rebooted my computer like it said and when the computer came back up, AOL was still there.

When I try to uninstall the AOL Spyware Protection, it won't uninstall. I get a little gray box that says, ","COULD NOT OPEN INSTALL.LOG FILE." Does that mean the file is missing suddenly? If so, how do I get it back?

Gee, thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it!
