Its really not all that bad as long as you know what to do. First, put your system together, Making sure that the Promise controller in enabled in the BIOS and your drives are plugged into it. Next, durring the bootup, you wil be prompted to configure the RAID. Do that, then turn off the machine. Next (or you might want to do this first), find a blank floppy and format it. Then pull out your K8V mobo cd and pop it into a computer. Ignore the screen that comes up and instead go explore the cd. somewhere in there (dont have a cd here, doing this all from memory) there will be a directory called drivers, inside that there is a Promise folder. You'll want to open that and there is either a .exe called "makedisk.exe" or you may have to go one directory further into the cd. Follow the directions. Now, back to the new computer. Pop the windows cd in, and start the set-up. One of the first things that will come up is a screen where at the bottom, it will say something along the lines of "press F6 to load third parts RAID or SCSI drivers" So, press F6, and pop in you'r newly made floppy. Follow all the prompts, and keep installing windows.

Alright, that might have been more than you needed to know, but who knows. Hope that helps a bit.

Be sure you obtain and apply the latest BIOS for your motherboard.
Also obtain the latest RAID drivers for your controller to put on the floppy. You also must setup in your SATA BIOS the RAID ARRAY before you ever install windows.
