need help

how r u every body, i'm new member,and this is my first thread. in fact i'm not expert in computer, and i've problem if any one can help me that would be appreciated.
the problem is i log in internet by using computer in my company, and i downloaded msn messenger file, but when i attempt to do setup i always got error copy message also got same message with yahoo messenger.

(i have office 2000, pentium III,and very very slow)

so if any one can tell me what to do to solve this problem i should be grateful.

What OS?

Sounds like they may have a policy setup so you can't install those programs or any programs at all.

The bit about the computers being slow is to be expected with some of the earlier pentiumIII machines...critical factors are the amount of memory etc.

Yeah, policies may also be inhibiting that activity

To see about policies...the best thing is to ask the administrator of the network about it.

With the slowness...the only thing that might help without upgrading hardware is to get the computer reimaged with a fresh clean image. Just remember to backup your data as an imaging will totally replace all files left on the hard drive.

to let you know guys my friends in the company same building and same network, had downloaded some programes and messengers as well successfully. the only deferent is all my friends has pentium IIII except me p III.

about policies programes, i asked IT department about it and they said there are no policies programes for your computer this programes for all it might be you computer needs supportive programes.

any way i just want to tell you guys that i don't have experience in PC.

If you have a pIII and its very slow you have more issues than just not being able to install those programs.

Search, download and run:

adaware

spybot search and desroy

cwshredder

See if they clean it up any.
