Okay, here's the deal. I got a generic IR receiver (plugs into USB). I also have a generic remote control that goes with the receiver. The problem is they came with my laptop which runs Windows XP (media center). They work FINE on the laptop, but I want to use them with my PC which runs windows XP PRO.
Windows detects the receiver, but it will NOT install drivers. (none can be found ). I've checked high and low (hundreds of searches, several driver webpages) none of them have helped. Can anyone here PLEASE help me out. I'm sure someone else has gotten a Toshiba P15 laptop and wanted to do the same thing as me. If you wanna know what controller I got here's a link:

Some guy mentioned the drivers are in windows XP SP1, but that's BS cause I have SP1.
