Tape disk restore using back up my pc software

Hello to all members of the forum,

I have a question about Tape Disk Restoration. If anyone can help me out or suggest anything about this matter, it will be greatly appreciated.

I have two Seagate TR-5 tapes, model STTM20. There is information on both of those tapes. The tapes originally were backed up using Veritas Back Office Exec Ver. 4.62 software. I don't have this software right now, but I got tapes. I used two different software programs already to try to restore information from the tapes. One of those programs is Back Up My Pc and the other one is Seagate Back Up Exec. When I used those programs to restore data, it would always recognize the tape drive, which is Seagate Travan Model STT220000A, but when I put any of the two tapes inside of the tape drive, it will start reading it, but it doesn't show anything on the tape. It tries to find catalogue, but it says that the catalog wasn't found.

Did anyone had this particular issue with tape restoration before and if yes, please help me out with this problem.

Thank you very much in advance.
