I've heard from several computer companies that they are moving away from AGP, they say that they can master the speed of the 8x in a reg pci bus. Does anyone know how they are doing it? They say that they are trying to phase out the AGP from use anymore.....that doesn't sound right. Any insight?
These companies are referring to the the newly introduced PCI-Express platform, not the already established traditional PCI bus interconnect architecture.
