Kids Sony Vaio PCV-R528DS Drivers

I've installed a new hard drive in a Sony Vaio PCV-R528DS Desktop pc. I'm installing Windows ME but it does not see the modem, the video adapter, or the USB port. Sony.com has very poor support for this particular desktop. Does anyone know how or where I can find the drivers for this Sony Vaio?

Need Help Fast!!

http://www.sony.com/support

It's either really slow or they're doing something with it right now.

Besides that, try http://www.driverguide.com

Thanks.

I've tried driverguide.com but they don't seem to have drivers specific to that model of Sony Vaio desktop. I need to find ou the specific part model #'s so I can look for only that driver.

Example: is the video adapter ATI something or other. modem - what model is it?

Maybe I'll send an email to Sony.

I've had no problem before w/ Sony's site. It's just right now they might be doing maintenance or whatever.

Looks like they aren't going to offer drivers for Windows ME.

If you're wanting to know specs on your PC, try using Everest

It used to be AIDA32. It should at least tell you what video chipset you have and all that other good stuff.

Wow. You're a font of information. Thanks.

Maybe the WIN98SE drivers will work with the ME. If not, maybe I'll try installing XP and see if it automatically recognizes the chipset.

Sony was of no help at all. But that Everest was fantastic. Recognized everything on the computer. Thanks again!
