Fdisk/partition magic help

Hello, Need a little help. Heres the story: I am rebooting my computer and having some problems after a crash. I can to install windows xp and in the windows xp cd boot I could form my partition but it would not format. So I decided to run fdisk, in there I could not even partition. I would get to Verfyiing Drive Intregity and it would go to a certain % and then go back to zero. So then I use Partition Magic rescue disk and it lets me form partitions and and format. I ran and it said no errors. Then i go back to install windows xp and it tells me cannot create folder c:/Windows. Any help? Is the harddrive done?
Thanks Josh

Ok, I ran IBM/Hitachi DFT. It tells me, Problem detected on an non Hitachi disk drive, Contact supplier. Disposition Code=0x70.
I am now trying to run Maxtor, for some reason it take forever to load the disk. It stays at my gateway screen forever. In the advanced test I passed first 4 test and failed the SMART test. Code: 40004f000. Anyhelp? Is the drive done?
Thanks
Josh

The disk is likely bad. You need to run the tools that match the manufacturer.

Yes, use the one that matches your disk.

I would say the drive is probably done though. If it's not under warranty, just think about getting a new one.

I seem to be having more problems now. For some reason or another I can not get any floppydisk to load on the computer anymore. would this be because of the harddrive or are they not related? I created a Windows XP boot disk from my other computer and cannot get that to load. My EZ OS Install disk no longer will load either. ANy help?
Thanks
