new to forum! questions about restorer 2.0

my music file was deleted.. about 98% of it. i did search the internet, asked windows community for help, checked my recycle bin and did everything i was told. which wasn't much. they told me if it was deleted.. to forget about it. then i searched the internet and found a posting from 2-3 years ago that was on ths forum, which helped. i downloaded the free demo of restorer 2.0, i found everything that was deleted, highlighted it, hit restore but when i look in my music folder.. nothing is there. but it says it was restored. can anyone help me. i'm not that familiar with computer but i think i know enough to follow directions. please be patient and any information will be very helpful. thank you.

Kids About the T2672

hi there, sorry i can't answer your question about restorer, but i have one for you---please.
i also have a t2672 e-machine, and so far i'm really liking it. I was wondering if you had an opion, how long have you had yours, and have you had any problems so far? these questions are from a lady of 67 years and would really like to know your opinion. thanks, swamprosy

usually programs like that which have demos only allow you to restore like up to a 100 KB file, so it may have told you it restored the file, but the demo protection in the program may have dissallowed it from doing the full restore. check their documentation and see if it mentions anything like that for the demo.

whatever you do, don't defrag your hard drive if you still want to recover all of your music. wait until you get it all back, then you can defrag.

do a file/folder search. maybe it was restored to a different directory.

how does a file get 98% deleted, btw? maybe the answer lies somewhere there.
