What laptop should I get.

On am looking for a laptop but I don't know which one to get?
I want peformance and good tech support plus reliability.
Something in the ups of $1500. Some 3 hour battery life and not as heavy and a freaking desktop pc (less then 8 lbs).

I say you should get a Apple G4 iBook with super drive or a eMachines M6811.
