Hi all,

Got a weird problem and i'm sure my pc is causing it,

Every now & then my light will flicker then my pc restarts, my pc is plugged into an extension lead along with my radio, but my radio don't switch of,

Any ideas what could be causing this??

128 mb ram
120gb hd
win xp pro

P.S i've been running xp with this amount of ram for a long time with no probs

this actually sounds like a problem with your power coming in. brownouts can cause this type of thing to occur. low voltage electronics usually have capacitors taht they draw from and can sustain a change for a short amount of time.

buy a UPS (even if it only will last like 5 min) and see if it still occurs

Also, running a computer of an extension cord is a really horrible idea, as most are not made to carry the kind of amperage that a computer requires. If the cord is warm, change the setup, as you may be running to much power through it.

If a new UPS doesn't help, try rearranging the letters and get a new PSU.
